Author Shares Her Story
Sue Partenheimer came to the library and shared her book. called “The Castor Oil Rig Tales.” The book is a group of stories about whimsical ocean creatures around an abandoned oil rig off the coast of Louisiana. We were learning about some ocean animals in our “Tails and Tales” Summer Reading Program and her presentation fit in nicely with the theme. She also brought crafts for the children to do which include some of the characters in the book.

Visit from Bedford County Wilderness Search Team
Thank you Carol Thompson and Lexi for coming to the library and demonstrating how Lexi finds lost people. We learned what to do if we get lost. You did a great job finding me, Lexi!

The marble painting craft class will be held on July 12 at 6:00 pm. You will need two colors of nail polish and a plain white dish.

Goats Visit the Library for Farm Animal Program
Thanks to the Snyders for bringing their young goats to the library. These young goats will be going to the Philippines when they are a little older as they are a breed which can handle the heat.

Local Young Author
Caleb Feathers (8) wrote a book and read it to our Summer Reading children. They enjoyed his story about a very silly grandmother. Keep writing Caleb!
