We would like to thank all the sponsors and participants that made our annual fundraising event so successful.  We raised over $13,000 for the library.  Thank you for your support and generosity.

 

Be sure to stop by our Friends booth at Community Days this weekend.  It is held Saturday and Sunday at the Claysburg Community Park.  We will be selling homemade popsicles and baked goods.

Thanks so everyone who visited our table at the 5k/Health Fair last Saturday.  Some of you learned about Smart 911 available in Blair County.  Smart 911 allows you to provide information to the 911 service which would be vital in an emergency.  You can list the medical conditions and allergies of your family.  This information would then be available to 911 should you need their services.  It could be a lifesaver.  Come into the library and learn more.  We can help you sign up.

I took the snowflakes down from the Easy Reader section.  It’s about time!  Hopefully that’s the end of them for a long time. The flowers are blooming and the birds are singing.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Don’t forget to file your income taxes.  The deadline for federal and state income tax filings is Tuesday April 17.  We still have federal, state and local tax forms available.

It is the library’s policy that if the Claysburg-Kimmel School District closes the schools due to snow, the library will also close.

We have a maker space where you can create your own Christmas Card.  Iris folding and pinbroidery patterns are available.  Make a card for a special friend!

The library will be closed December 21st through the 26th and January 1st for the holidays.  Happy holidays!

We will be open on Veteran’s Day.  We do wish to honor our veterans.  Thank you for your service.

The library will be closed on November 23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  We will be open again on Saturday November 25.
