Earth to Moon: Rocks and Minerals
Join Dr. Guochang Wang, Associate Professor of Engineering at Saint Francis University, for a hands-on activity to learn about many different minerals found on Earth and the Moon. Stop anytime between 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on March 2, 2023, for this event taking place at the Claysburg Area Public Library. While you are at the library, also explore the Earth to Moon exhibit featuring lunar meteorites, a 3D printed landscape of the Apollo 17 landing site, astronaut cutouts for photos and more!
St. Francis University and NASA partnered to prepare an exhibit of moon. Fifth graders from the C-K Elementary School arrive on February 1 to see the exhibit and participate in activities. All are welcome to come and see the exhibit during library hours.
The Claysburg library will be closed on December 15, 2022 due to a predicted storm. Please stay home and stay safe.
There will be a fresh wreath class on December 12 at 6:00 pm. The cost is $12 per person if you need a frame, $6 if you bring your own frame. There is a limit of 10 people for this class. Please call and register at 814-239-2782. You may bring added decorations if you like.
Our preschool program, Learning @ the Library, is currently being held at 6:00 pm Monday evenings and 11:00 am Tuesdays. The program is geared toward 3-5 year old children with the purpose of preparing them for kindergarten.
Lego Club will begin tonight at 6:00 pm. The club will be held once a month on the first Thursday of the month. All are invited to build structures based on the theme of the night.
